About the project

SHAPE (Shaping an Holistic Approach to Protect the Adriatic Environment: between coast and sea) project aims at the sustainable development of the Adriatic Region through the definition o fan integrated approach capable of strengthening the protection and valorisation of marine and coastal environment.

SHAPE objective is to develop an efficient governance system that includes different levels and different sectors, able to ensure the balance between the coastal belt development and the need to protect and preserve the Adriatic Sea environment and its precious resources, capable to manage and solve the conflicts that insist on coastal and marine space. Shape is a three years project that will end in March 2014.
